About Shadbindu Taila
Shadbindu Taila — "six-drop oil" — is a classical nasya (nasal administration) taila documented in Bhaishajya Ratnavali. Built on sesame and goat milk with vidanga, shunthi, vacha, tulsi, and other herbs processed by classical taila-paka.
Named "shadbindu" because six drops per nostril is the traditional therapeutic dose. Compared to the gentler Anu Taila (daily preventive nasya), Shadbindu Taila is more potent — used therapeutically for established pathology: chronic sinusitis, migraine with nasal congestion, nasal polyps, chronic rhinitis, and early-stage hair thinning (works via urdhvajatru rejuvenation).
Essential for seasonal panchakarma protocols and for students/professionals with excessive screen-time eye strain (nasya has classical indraya-prasadana effect).

Frequently Asked Questions
Shadbindu vs Anu Taila?
Anu Taila is gentler — for daily preventive nasya. Shadbindu is therapeutic — for established sinusitis, polyps, migraines. Both classical but different intensity.
How long before sinusitis improves?
Noticeable relief in 2–3 weeks. Full clinical improvement in chronic cases takes 6–12 weeks with proper nasya protocol.
Can I use it daily long-term?
Standard protocol is cycles (7 days on, 7 off) for 2–3 months. Continuous daily use is not traditional.
Nose polyp — will it shrink?
Small early polyps may reduce with consistent nasya. Established polyps usually require ENT intervention; Shadbindu is adjunctive for prevention of recurrence.
