About Gokshuradi Guggulu
Gokshuradi Guggulu, documented in Sharangdhar Samhita, combines gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) as the chief herb with triphala, trikatu, musta and guggulu. Gokshura — whose thorny fruit resembles a cow's hoof (go-kshura) — is the premier Ayurvedic herb for mutravaha srotas (urinary channels).
The primary classical formulation for ashmari (urinary calculi / stones), mutrakricchra (dysuria / burning urination), mutraghata (retention), and chronic UTI. Also indicated in prostate enlargement (BPH) and renal support for non-obstructive crystalluria.
Non-stimulant, non-diuretic-dependency-forming — supports urinary function by addressing underlying vata-kapha srotorodha (channel blockage) rather than forcing flow.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Gokshuradi Guggulu dissolve kidney stones?
It helps with small stones (<6 mm) — traditionally used for ashmari-bhedana and expulsion. Larger stones need urology intervention — this is adjunctive.
Safe for BPH?
Yes — classical mootragrantha indication. Commonly combined with Chandraprabha Vati. Monitor PSA and volume with urologist.
Will it affect kidney function?
No — it supports rather than stresses kidneys. However, CKD patients should use only under coordinated Chikitsak + nephrologist care.
How long to continue?
Acute dysuria: 2–4 weeks. Stones / BPH: 3–6 months with periodic ultrasound review.
